Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position of UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN.

The University Librarian shall be the academic head of the University Library. He/She shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the development of the University library system including the main library, College, Faculty and departmental libraries. .

Qualifications and Experience
• Candidates should possess a good honours degree and a Doctorate in Library science or related discipline.
• In addition the candidate should have at least 15 years post-graduate experience, 10 years of which should be in Senior Management position in a University, similar institution of higher learning or comparable
establishments.
• The candidate must be well published in recognized and reputable journals.
• This is a post of professorial ranking.

Tenure
The University Librarian shall hold office for a term of five years and may be reappointed for a second and final term of five years
Remuneration
Salary and conditions of service are as applicable in Federal Universities in Nigeria.
